Unless you were actually charged and have a crimminal record for drugs most cops don't really care if you smoked some weed as a teen. They're more concerned if you're doing it now.

It depends on the agency to which you're applying. When I applied to various Southern California agencies, I took urinalysis.

Advice: if you're really concerned about which test, you might want to lay off whatever it is you're "doing". Police officers need to be straight and sober and you need to project that reputation. Doing illegal drugs (even in your off-hours) would make you a hypocrite, wouldn't it?

I believe both,the hair will be alot more extensive though,I believe it will trace back up to the last 6 months or whatever they request cuz it can go back to when you first started growing your hair
