Oh...I just noticed the hair strand part. Uhm, not good. Most companies don't do these as they are more expensive and have been proven to test falsely positive, opening them up to lawsuits. However, in this case...I don't see as she has much to stand on. Sucks to be she. The only thing you can try and do is get a prescription written for her for the time period in question making the codeine legit.

she will be fine on her drug test. it will not show up especially since she took only one or two. she has nothing to worry about.

Anything that you take into your body, especially drugs will show up on your hair strand. It will be further down her hair strand because it was a month ago when she digested it, but will still be there, things you take into your body just dont go away, unless she were to shave her head.

They are probably looking for something a little more substantial. IF she has a addiction problem my advice is to not have any drugs or alcohol in the house. If it is for a job or something though she will be fine.

Hair testing is fairly sensitive and can detect drugs long after use. One of the reasons that a lot of testing labs are going over to this test, despite the higher expense is that it allows detection over a much wider window, often 90 days or more.

Most likely she will be tested by the standard NIDA5 test, which is designed to pick up opiates (of which codeine is one).

Wow. What kind of unamerican corrupt company requires hair drug testing(basically a DNA test)? This is way to intrusive and its a shame its legal. Yes they will see the codeine being hair tests can go back years and these tests are very accurate and detailed. It should not hurt her chances for the position but who would want to work for a company who invades a persons privacy to such an extreme. I do tower construction now but wanted to get into the railroad a few years back and they did the same thing, I told them to fuc*off and went back to my previous employer who does a basic drug test and a routine physical. Never would I work for someone who wants this much info. Whats next? Reading our past thoughts? Way too much information we are giving away, very sad.
