What kind of drug test do most employers (call centers, specifically) give pre-employment?

(Please, no "YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING DRUGS!!11" answers because it's kind of late for that)

I'm trying to get a job at a Sprint call center, but I read that I have to take a drug test. What kind of drug test do most employers usually give? I read somewhere that the most common one is the immunoassay drug test (no idea what that means). I can wait 30 days to pass a urine test, but if it's a hair test or something like that there's no way in hell I'm going to pass. If anyone has applied for this kind of job, or taken an immunoassay drug test and knows how long you have to wait before taking it, that'd be awesome as it would give me the exact insight I need.

For non employees, a company can only test urine with the applicant's consent. For most companies, drug (urine) tests are random but they can do further testing if they feel it is nescessary. Most will not bother with more advanced testing because of the time and money required.

On a slightly related note, weed lasts in the system for 4 to 6 weeks but depending on the test, it is only detectable via urine test within two weeks at most. Meth, or shabu is detectable for up to 4 weeks but mostly it is less than that.

Most likely, you'll be given a urine test. The problem is, that when a company offers you the position... you have 24 hours to take the urine test @ a predetermined testing center. If you only have 24 hours, then there is really no hope - unless you want to gamble $80 on one of those "anti-oxidant" drinks.

Just stay on the safe side (I am not sure what your state's laws are on reporting positive drug results). Wait until you are clean before you apply. That way, you won't freak about a drug test.

Or, you can find a job that doesn't require a drug test. Pretty much all restaurants don't require a drug test. Or, you can try a clothing retail store - just not a department store. Good luck.

they are looking for THC, opiods (Schedule II pain releivers), or the illegal party street drugs.

Drug testing of federal employees and specified DOT regulated occupations. Drug testing guidelines and processes are established and regulated (by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration or SAMHSA, formerly under the direction of the National Institute on Drug Abuse or NIDA) require that companies who use professional drivers, specified safety sensitive transportation and/or oil and gas related occupations, and certain federal employers, test them for the presence of certain drugs.

Sprint call center will be a standard urine test. The cut-offs on a lab test are the same as a take home test unless you test positive and the you will be given a gs/ms which is much more sensitive, this is why they split your urine into two different containers.I don't know what "toxin" is in your body and how often you use this "toxin",but if your concerned w/ THC after thirty days you will be fine.Coke.codiene,X,and things of that nature will be gone in urine after 5 full days at the most. Some barbiturates will remain in your system for up to 5 weeks if they are taken everyday like some people who take xanax everyday.Generally after 30 days you will pass with flying colors.I became really educated on drug tests when I was on probation and had to take them every month, and mine were immunoassay.
