Questions about pre-employement drug test.?

I've never took a drug test before and I am being asked to take one for PetSmart tomorrow. Will they more likely do a pee, saliva, or hair test? I've smoked pot before but it's been over a year and I experimented with meth 3 weeks ago. Which is awful, I thought I was seriously going to die. Drugs are NOT my thing anymore. I drank alcohol last night but just two smirnoffs which don't have a high percentage of alcohol as it is. I've never took a drug test before so I was wondering what kind of test do they usually give and should I be safe?

They COULD do any of those but typically it is a simple piss test and they are looking for specific drugs. If you did meth less than 3 weeks ago you could be in trouble. Go to a local smoke shop and get the magic tea to take a few hours before the test.

You will more than likely have to pee in a cup. Hopefully unsupervised. My last two jobs I had to go to a place called LabCorp, they do all sorts of lab tests, anyway they were both supervised, a woman standing there watching you pee. Good Luck!!

meth will leave your system in a few days. the weed will be long out of your system, and alcohol won't make much of a difference, as long as your not drunk when you go in. all drug tests i've ever taken are piss tests. they only use the ohers for law related jobs or probation and whatnot. you should be safe

I took one for a job. All you do is pee in a cup and they check for heavy drugs like pot, coke, etc. Alcohol is not what they are looking for so don't worry.

Usually, its a urine test and if its been a year since you smoked pot, then not to worry. Pot stays in your system the longest....30 days, all others are out of your system in 3 days. However, if its a hair test which is highly unusual unless your working for a Casino, then your screwed, because its stays in your roots. Ex: they found cocaine in Albert Einsteins hair years ago when they were doing drug findings experiments

Unless they told you to be prepared for a hair folicle test then a urine test will be the method. None of the things you have describe should be an issue for this type of test.

Usually it's just a pee test. They will not test for alcohol, so you're fine there, as for the meth, I know absolutely nothing about that. What you need to do is to drink all the water you can and just keep drinking and peeing. Also green tea is an antioxidant, so drink some of that too.

I was told once a cap full of white vinegar in a glass of water a few times a day helps but I've never tried that.

Some employers will send you to a company that specializes in collecting these samples. They send you to a room with a potty and no sink and blue stuff in the potty so they know if you dilute your pee with pottywater. It is sort of demeaning, but private and at least you know that it is fair because they do this to everyone that they want to hire. And well worth it cause at Petsmart you get to work with really cool animals and see all kinds of doggies and pet toys and kitties, and birds and hamsters and you get paid too. Good luck.

Most do a urine analysis but some do the hair folicle because it is more accurate and detects drug use over a much longer period of time. I would guess they do urine. Urine tests usually cover drug use over the last 30 days. It's not a direct science though, so use 3 weeks ago may pass.

Multiple that by 6, that is how long Meth is detectable in your system.

If it was 10 hours

Just took 100%

40 hours 6%

50 hours 3%

60 hours 1%

So IF the 1/2 life of met was 10 hours after 2.5 days it would have less than 1% still in your system.

It will probably be a pee test, the hair test is unreliable. I don't know anything about the saliva test.

The pee test works because it tests for the metabolites of the drugs in yoursystem after your liver has worked on in. Basically no doubt it has been in your blood stream and you have been under the effects.

If what you have said is true, then you have nothing to worry about. You will not have a problem with passing the test. Ordinarily, most companies will opt for a urine test because it is less expensive and results are available quicker. Good luck with your new job.......

I HAVE ONLY HAD A URINE DRUG TEST FOR PRE-EMPLOYMENT. IM NOT SURE HOW LONG ANY DRUG STAYS IN YOUR SYSTEM. THE ALCOHOL SHOULD BE GONE BY THEN.

It is a urine test. They send you to a lab that specializes in prehiring testing. The tech will make sure that you don't take anything into the restroom with you. You can't wear layered clothing in the restroom since they are concerned about people who hide a container of urine under their clothes. Alcohol shouldn't have any effect on the test. As long as you don't use any other drugs you shouldn't have any problem passing.
