i am assuming you are the parent of a nineteen year old who you suspect is using drugs. its a bad situation. a better way to deal with this is to confront the situation directly. you suspect the person is using drugs, and if they are living in your house maybe you want to require that they do a urine test. if they refuse, they must leave. if they turn up positive they must get treatment. is it just an occasional joint you suspect they are using or is it a chronic cocaine or canibus or heroin addiction you suspect. i work at a drug and alcohol center. you should contact one for some real advice.
