They were for a time. You may call 212-RECRUIT, or the police academy cadet office if you are doing research.

If for personal reasons I suggest looking into FDNY.

BTW sh4rkst4r NYPD Cadet program isn't a job, it's a college program. Looking at the time of day, maybe you should just get any job.

Stanley is talking about One Lefrak City Plaza - you do not mean "Traffic Cop" you mean "Traffic Enforcement Agent- Meter Maid". They are not cops.

Also it has nothing to do with "Smoke sticking to your hair" -the drug content eventually comes out of your hair follicles from the inside of your body. You cannot be held accountable if you were unknowingly in the airborne presence of an illegal intoxicant.

you should wait until you graduate before you start doing drugs

I've never heard of any law enforcement agency doing that. It's cost prohibitive. However, you should not be using drugs at this point in your life. Who cares about what you did when you were a kid partying in high school and college? Just lie about past drug use and pray that you never get found out.

Yes they do, test your hair for traces of drugs. I know because I apply for traffic cop position and they had me go down to the same building where they conduct medical exam for correctional officer(s) and NYPD recruits. The building is located 3 blocks away from the Queens Center Mall on Queens BLVD.

The answer to your question is %26gt;Yes%26lt;

by testing your hair particle they can determine if you done drugs within the last 6 month and or if you been exposed to drugs. For example if you are in a room where people are smoking weed and you're not, the smoke sticks to your hair, they can tell that from this exam.

The real questions is "do you posses the moral turpitude to carry out a civil service "FOR the city , not for your bank account? and why be worried if the above question is yes?
