The cut off is listed as .5ng/mL, if he tested 12.4 ng/mL is this indicative of heavy, moderate, or occaisional use? Either way he's lost unsupervised visitation again but I would really like to know.
The cut-off value of .5ng/mL is the level of cocaine "molecules" they need to find in your blood or urine in order to determine that they can safely say you have used cocaine.
I can't really say what 12.4ng/mL indicates in terms of usage, but cocaine clears from your system in three days, so what you can know from this result is that your ex used cocaine within three days of the drug test.
This is going beyond the answer, but in my opinion if someone knows there is a drug test coming up and they can't even abstain for three days, they have a problem and need help and rehab.

um, if the cut-off is 0.5 ng/mL, the fact that he tested 12.4 ng/mL is pretty indicative of heavy usage. His level is more than 12 times the allowed.
Good thing he has lost visitation with your children. His influence is harmful and if he is using, he could hurt them.

By the way what does it mean, "this is the first time he's been tested this time around," does that mean that he has had a history of drug and alcohol abuse in the past.

I think if she wanted to hide her hair from drug testing she should have taken it with her, since the salon is selling it for a million $$$ now! Still, she's not the brightest star in the sky, so your theory could still hold.
Here's why she did it I think- she had nappy hair extensions for so long her hair was probably thinning to the point there was not a lot of real hair left to glue the extensions on to, and they were probably all tight and gross. I think I saw a pic where her weave was so bad there was bald spots! sad.

Well, if it was only a urine test, you'd probably be fine as long as you didn't touch any more till then. However, it's probably gonna show up in your hair. There's nothing you can do about it, without shaving your head. The drugs do show in our hair, the longer the hair, the farther back they can see. Sorry.

green tea and niasin help with the urine but i would sugest washing your hair with some type of parasite remover to try to get it out of your hair. and shampoo everyday afterwards.i myself don't have to worry since i don't do drugs but i've heard this from other people who do.

Is this true......In the United States of Amercia does a drug test ONLY involve the taking of your hair for testing? Blood and urine has not been heavily relied upon for a while?

Most prescriptions stay in your system for one week to be detected on a urinalysis. Unless you're applying for a government type job, chances are you won't have a hair folicule test done. They are too expensive for companies to use on potential employees, that's why they use urinalysis instead. Besides, since ambien is not a narcotic (not to my knowledge anyway), they probably won't need verification of a presciption.

What shows up on your test depends on what they test for. Is Ambien an opiate? Sadly drug tests don't discriminate against junkies (addicts), they discriminate against the average user. How many drug addicts apply for jobs?
R u having a hair follicle test done? I don't think that ambien shows on one, but I'm not sure. I know marijuana shows on one.
